My Top 6 Blushes.

Hi guys, its autumn,

For this week’s blog post, I thought I’d share my Top 6 Blushes with you. Now I have to admit I'm not a massive fan of blushes, quite often I’ll completely forget about them when I'm applying my make-up each morning.  I do however have quite a wide range of different blushes, but that’s mainly down to the fact that I still haven’t found one that I'm 100% happy with yet (my signature blush, if you will). But I shall continue to hunt for that perfect blush, that is out there somewhere with my name on. I'm defiantly more of a contour girl than a blush.

So in at number 6 is a blush from ‘Bourjois’
Healthy Mix, bonne mine 41
£7.99
This is a cute little blush, perfect for carrying around in your handbag. Which is probably one of the only reason I use this, I don’t like to carry around big chunky make-up items in my make-up bag or handbag, I prefer to keep things minimal. So because I don’t have any other blushes this size, it becomes my go to blush for traveling. I'm not saying it’s a bad product at all, but like I said earlier I'm not a massive fan of blushes.

At number  5 we have a Blush from ‘Max Factor’
Flawless Perfection, 223 Natural Glow.
£6.99
As you can see there is a compartment for a small blush brush, but I tend to take them out as I don’t use them and they just get in the way.
Now for a high street blush, this is pretty good one, it’s a bit dark for my liking but the store I go too they only had 2 choices. It is highly pigmented and gorgeous dark pinkie colour. I don’t wear it as much as I would like to but I defiantly think it’s more of a winter/fall colour because it is a little dark, but that’s just my opinion.

Number 4, is a Blush by’ Mac’
Pro Longwear Blush, Rosy Outlook.
£20.00

Many of you will be surprised to see a ‘Mac’ product at number 4 and not at number 1, because most people rate all ‘Mac’ products very highly. Now I'm not saying it’s a bad product because if it was then it wouldn't make it into my top 6; but I'm not saying it my favourite blush either. The reason why it is in my top 6 is because it is still a very good quality blush, and on the right days can look quite nice. I guess what I'm trying to say is that me and this blush have a love, hate relationship, some days it look horrendous on me, but on days that it wants to cooperate then it looks stunning, if I do say myself. As you can expect it is highly, highly pigmented, and lasts a long time.

Number 3 is a blush from ‘Estee Lauder’
Pure colour blush, Mauve Mystique Shimmer  16.
£27.00
This blush is undoubtedly a gorgeous colour! It’s such a deep red/pink colour, it’s almost perfect. Which is why it has to be in my top 6, the reason why it isn’t at number one is because it isn’t my most used blush. I really don’t wear it enough if I’m honest, but as you can see it’s such a bold daring colour, you have to be in the mood to wear it comfortably.  It’s a tiny bit darker than the max factor blush. I would recommend any of the ‘Estee Lauder’ blushes to anyone, because they are such good quality and there is a colour for everyone. The photo doesn’t do it justice, it sparkles so much.

Number 2 is a blush by ‘No7’
Natural blush tint powder, soft damson.
£8.00

I am quite a pale person, which is why I don’t wear darker blushes too often. I tend to go for the lighter pinks for a few reason, first of all because I feel more comfortable wearing them, secondly because they are more everyday colours. They give your cheeks just that hint of colour nothing to dramatic, just simple, pretty and pink. And thirdly because I love love love to wear dark or bold lips, so having a light pink blush just completes the look. And for the price it is, it’s a bargin.

Finally at number 1 it is the gorgeous blush from ‘benefit’
Dandelion
£23.50
Well as you can see I have hit pan severally on this blush, which can only mean one thing… it’s been well loved. This was my first ever high end product, and it was brought for me by my mum on one of our girly days out. This is the perfect colour for me; it’s got a hint of colour, a tiny bit of shimmer and lasts for ages and ages. Now I am not the biggest fan of benefit if I'm honest, but I do have to give them credit for their dandelion blush because it its utterly perfect.

My Dos and Don'ts

Hi Guys, it’s Autumn.

Today, I thought I’d give you a little bit of advice, my own personal dos and don’ts.
some of these are from personal experiences, and some are just things I've picked up over the years.
I'm not saying I give the best advice, or that what I say it the professional way of doing thing, but over the years I have found my way of doing things, ways that suit me. Now you may have your own way of doing thing, so I guess to you this is just a helping hand or second option.

      1)   Do blend your foundation onto your neck; nobody wants an orange line around your chin. I see so many girl with an orange line around there chin, I have to admit when I first started applying make-up I went out some mornings with an awful orange line, but I guess that why people say ‘you should learn from your mistakes’ and I did, so I'm passing this very important message on you guys.

      2)  Don’t leave make-up on overnight. If you take your make-up of correctly it will help prevent spots and blemishes, it also allows your skin to breath. There are so many different types of make-up removers out there, i.e. Makeup wipes, Micellar water, Exfoliators… try a few to see which one suits your skin type the best.

      3)  Do clean your brushes on a regular basis, even if you haven’t used it for a long time, it’s still best to wash them as brushes collect dust and you don’t want to be putting that on your face. The best way to clean your brushes is to use ordinary hair shampoo and cold water, and then let them dry naturally.

      4)  Don’t be embarrassed to blot or powder throughout the day, majority of girls have to do it,just carry around compact powder or blotting paper. especially if you've got oily skin. However, don’t be one of those girls who over power because you’ll end up looking like you've covered yourself in a layer of fluff.

     5)  Don’t neglect your eyebrows. For me, the eyebrows complete every look. Keep them neat and tidy as much as you can. However don’t over pluck them either. There are many different ways in which to shape for eyebrows, waxing, threading and plucking. Some hurt more than others, if you’re unsure as to which one to have done, maybe ask friends or colleague what their opinion is. But if it is your first time don’t do it by yourself, get it done professionally, I made that mistake.

      6)  Do switch up your shampoo and conditioner once a month, it helps to keep your hair shiny and soft, the way it feels when you come out of the salon. If you keep the same one for a long period of time your hair will get used to it and it won’t have any effect on your hair.

      7)  Don’t ever have dark lips and dark eyes, have one or the other, never should you have both. Only emphasis one facial feature. If you want to emphasize a specific facial feature then then the rest of your make-up should be subtle. E.g. if you want to make your eyes stand out the go for a smoky eye effect, and have nude lips and a light blusher.

      8)  Do blend in your bronzer; you’ll know you've not blended it in enough if you still have a brown line across your check bone. Pick a colour that is suited to your skin tone, if you don’t I could look to dark or too orange. Otherwise you might look like you’re going for the stage make-up look.  The more you blend/buff the more natural the contorting will look.

      9)  Don’t let your eye-liner smudge under your eyes  throughout the day, keep a compact mirror with you so that you can check it every so often.

      10)  Finally, Do experiment with different techniques and styles. Don’t be scared to go bold and daring, its goo to have a play around to find out what suits you. try bright eye-shadow, or abstract lipsticks, experiment with different brushes. try cream blushes as-well as powder ones.

     Hope this helps.

Mac Lipstick Collection

Hi Guys, its Autumn.

I Hope you've all had a good week back at school or work after the Christmas period? I decided to do a post on my mac lipstick collection, as it is one of my most prized collections. Like most beauty bloggers will say, this post isn't to boast or brag, it’s simple to inform about my opinions. My collection is neither the biggest nor the smallest, but hopefully I will be trying to expand it over time.

So I guess to start with which Mac Lipsticks I actually own. So from left to right we have… Angel –  Frosted, Snob – Satin, Lovelorn – Lustre, Speak Louder – Creamsheen, So Chaud – Matte, Hot Tahiti – Glaze, Diva – Matte, Heroin – Matte.

Here are the swatches from all of them, in order.

There are the colours I would consider summer colours, they are all pinks and nudes.my favourite one from these four is ‘Snob’ it is a light pink, perfect for everyday looks, especially if you've gone for a heavy eye make-up look. It just gives your lips that hit of colour. They all leave a shiny coat, some more than others.
‘Angel’ is my go too nude colour, ‘Speak Louder’ is a toned down hot pink, and ‘Lovelorn’ is an average pink colour. They are all amazingly pigmented, and the most perfect pinks I own.

These for colours are my winter/autumn colours. As we all know dark lips are perfect for the colder season! And out of these for ‘Diva’ is my favourite, actually I think it’s my favourite mac lipstick of all. It is the perfect dark red, goes with any outfit, make-up look or hairstyle. Plus it makes it look like you've put more effort into your make-up than you actually is. The matte colours aren't drying at all, as long as you put a bit of lip balm on, your good to go.

‘Heroin’ was my riskiest purchase; it’s a purple colour, not my normal choice.  I have to say I don’t wear it as often as I would like to but I still love it just as much as the rest. ‘Hot Tahiti’ is the newest to the family, it’s a gorgeous glossy toned down red. And last but not least, ‘So Chaud’ is a bright red/orange.; it’s great for brightening us the cloudy days.

Finally on to the packaging. They may look small and boring to any ordinary person, but to a beauty blogger they are much more. The packaging plays an important part in the decision making of any beauty product. If the packaging is good then we are more likely to invest in it. The little back bullet shape with the silver band around the middle is just so sophisticated and perfect. They are recolonised world wide.
Although they are £15.50 a lipstick, it may sound a tad pricie, but the are sooo worth it!!!

Whats in my bag

Hi Guys, Its Autumn.

Happy New Year guys, can’t believe it 2015 already, I'm still writing 2013 in my school books. hope you've all had a good year, and hopefully there are plenty more good things to come.
As it’s my first post of the New Year, I thought I'd do the 'what's in my bag' post. I know it a popular blog post and YouTube video, so I thought I'd jump on that bound wagon before it becomes unpopular.
I've been wanting to do this post since for a while now, and well what better time to do it, than now, ayy.

So I guess I'd better start with the bag I most often use when I'm out an about, now I realise I'm not the best at describing things such as items of Clothing or Accessories, but I'll give it my best shot.
This black bag is from Florelli.
I love this bag to death, its perfect for everyday use, little events and big events.
It has the two arm straps, a side pocket on both sides, and then 3 little pockets on the inside (one with a zip, to keep everything safe. glod/bronze'ish detailing and the florelli symbol attached to one of the handles.
I’d say its probably a medium sized bag, as its not small but id defiantly not say it’s oversized.

Here's a closer look at the front.

Now on to my purse, I love this purse from Ted Baker. it is the softest leather I've ever touched.
The rose gold cinders on the top turn a simple black purse into something much more certificated.
It has 12 card compartments, 1 zipped pocket on the back, 5 open pockets inside.

Like every girl, I take a make-up bag everywhere I go. This one is from the Zoella range.
This makeup bag isn’t any different from the average makeup bag, I mean it holds my makeup what else do you expect makeup bags to do. However the reason why I love this one is because it is from the Zoella range, I am a massive fan of her videos and everything she does!!
but in all honesty this make-up bag is a good size, it hold full sized makeup brushes, and most cosmetics/toiletries that you may need throught the day.

And inside the make-up bag, I always have a deodorant, a body spray, hand cream, hand sanitizer and a lip balm, as well as other little things like a hair bandshair clipsparacetamol etc. Each day I change the make-up I put into my make-up bag, depending on what I have put on my face that morning.

These nifty little things are becoming more and more popular and useful, especially as phone batteries are becoming more and more unreliable. My dad got mine from Amazon, and honestly it is been the most useful thing I carry around with me. Sometimes when I'm out on my own or out in the evening, not gunna lie it gets a bit scary when you’re surrounded by crowds of people you don't know, and it gets even scarier when your phones dies. So being able to recharge it whenever/wherever is a life saver!
I'm telling you these things are a must!

As you've probably guessed no teenaged girls handbag would be complete without some sort of gossip magazine, and I'm defiantly no exception. Gotta love a bit of Cosmo! I even get some of my ideas for some blog posts from there. Also I carry around a mini diary; I'm an organised person, so this is a must.

So apart from a lode of rappers recites and rubbish at the bottom of my handbag, there was also these little bits and bobs... headphones, sunglasses, nail file and a compact mirror.
