This or That tag!

Hi Guys, its Autumn.

Today I thought I try out the ‘This or That’ tag. It looks super fun, and it’ll allow you got get to know me a little better.  However some of the questions I had to re word, of change as they didn't apply to England as such. I picked this one thinking it was going to be a short one, but looking at it now, I think I was wrong.

All of the answers I have given Is my own opinion, I don’t want to offend anyone at all. It is purely what I prefer, from my point of view.

So let’s get started.

Make-up:
•Blush or Bronzer?
Bronzer defiantly! Not too sure why, I just love a bit or bronzer.
•Lip-gloss or Lipstick?
Umm, lipstick. Not keen on sticky lip-glosses. I find that lipsticks are so much more usable, they come in way more colours and they don’t go everywhere is they leak.
•Eye-liner or Mascara?
Mascara obviously, you can’t wear eye-liner without mascara.
•Foundation or Concealer?
If I had perfect skin then I would say concealer. But I don’t have perfect skin, as done most of the female population, so you should hopefully understand when I say just wearing concealer just doesn't cut it most days. I need a bit more coverage, so it gotta be foundation every time, it is my life saviour.
•Neutral or Coloured Eye-shadow?
I've never been a massive fan of coloured eye-shadow, never have and probably never will. And to be honest you can’t go wrong with neutral shades.
•Pressed or Loose Eye-shadow?
Pressed Eye-shadow, it’s a so much simpler and less messy.
•Brushes or Sponges?
Brushes all the way. Quick, easy and leaves a better finish, in my opinion.

Nails:
•OPI or China glaze?
OPI, to me they dry quicker, and I don’t have the patients for wet nails.
•Long or short?
Long nails! Even though they can get annoying, and make everyday tasks ten times harder.  They look so much better, and there’s more room to decorate and experiment.
•Acrylic or Real?
Acrylic, as the process of getting them done is just so relaxing, and your hands feel pretty when you've come out of the nail bar.
•Brights or Darks?
Depends of the event, season or mood, when its summer I generally go of lilacs or hot pinks, and when its winter, I go for dark reds, and dark purples.
•Flowers or No Flowers?
No flowers I think. I mean I like decorations on my nails, but flowers… not so much.

Body:
•Perfume or Body spray?
Perfume, because I find the sent lasts longer, especially if it’s a good one.
•Lotion or Body Butter?
Either I suppose, not to fussed.
•Body wash or Soap?
Again I don’t really have a preference, I use both.
•Lush or other bath bomb company’s?
Lush always!! I have to admit Lush is one of my favourite shops! I can smell it a mile away.

Fashion:
•Jeans or Sweat pants?
So I guess most people will agree with me here, but sweat pants! The most comfy invention ever! Don’t get me wrong I love jeans too, but as soon as get come home, jeans come off sweats go on. You can’t go wrong with a pair of sweat pants, as long as you don’t wear them in public, haha.
•Long sleeve or short sleeve?
Long sleeve, I feel more comfortable with my arms covered.
•Dress or Skirt?
Either I wear my dresses, just as much as I wear my skirts, I think the tights, boots and skater style dresses/skirts suite my figure more that trousers or jeans do.
•Striped or Plaid?
Plaid. I love love love the plaid style, I think it’s especially gorgeous in winter and around Christmas.
•Flip-flops or Sandals?
Neither, I hate feet. So having any open toed shoes it a nightmare for me.
•Scarves or Hats?
Scarves… who wants hat hair? Not me.
•Studded or Dangly Earrings?
Dangly, they add a little more to what would have been a boring outfit.
•Necklaces or Bracelets?
Bracelets, I always have my Pandora bracelet on, it’s my favourite item of jewellery.  But don’t get me wrong I still love a good necklace.
•Heels or Flats?
Heels, I'm a short person, with short person problems, so whenever I have the chance to wear heels, I make the most of it.
•Jacket or Hoodie?
Depends on the mood I'm in, if I'm in a slouchy mood then it’ll have to be hoodies, but if I'm feeling pretty good about the way I look I’ll opt for a jacket.
•Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe?
Forever 21, I've never been disappointed with them.
•Abercrombie or Hollister?
There both pretty much the same to me. But if I had to pick, the it’d be Hollister as that is the closest shop to where I live.

Hair:
•Curly or Straight?
Curly, it just looks more interesting.
•Bun or Pony?
Bun, but only of it’s a messy bun; I can’t stand perfectly sleek, neat buns.
•Bobby pins or Butterfly clips?
Bobby pins, there a lot easier to use, and you can hide them better.
•Hair spray or Gel?
Hair spray, really don’t like the texture of gel.
•Long or Short?
Long hair, I used to have long hair, the got it cut short… and hated it! I can’t wait till it grows back to the length it was.
•Light or Dark?
Umm, I don’t really have a specific colour of hair that I prefer. Light, dark, I don’t bother me. However I do miss my red hair.
•Side fringe or Full fringe?
Depends on the colour and length of my hair.  If I have short’ish, brown hair then a side fringe looks better on me. But if I have red, long hair then a full fringe looks better.
•Up or Down?
Down

Random:
•Rain or Shine?
I think this one really depends on where I am, if I’m in doors then obviously I’d prefer it to rain, but when I spending the day outside then I’d much prefer it to be sunny.
•Summer or Winter?
Winter, they style of clothes you can wear in winter is much more my style than summer clothes; I love layers, dark colours and oversized jumpers. Plus my dogs name is winter.
•Fall or Spring?
This one may be obvious… full, mainly as my name is autumn. And in England fall is the same and autumn. But also as I think the colours are beautiful, and the temperature is perfect.
•Chocolate or Vanilla?

Chocolate.

Urban Decay - Naked 2 palette review

Hi Guys, its Autumn.

My family and I had our Christmas day a couple of weekends ago, due to a unexpected family emergency. This meant that as well as having the traditional Christmas dinner, we also opened up all our presents. And In one of mine there was the Naked 2 palette, by urban Decay. My parents knew I’d been wanting this for a very long time. Because in my eyes I wasn't a true ‘make-up collector’ until I owned one of the naked palettes. You can probably tell how unbelievably happy I am that I'm the new proud owner of this magical eye-shadow palette. I was going to upload this post straight away as I couldn't wait to tell the world how happy I was, but in true blogger style I decided to wait, try it out for a few weeks (just to make sure it was just as fabulous as I thought it would be) and then do a little review on it. Because when I was researching which pallet to invest in, it certainly helped me to come to a decision, looking through the variety of different recommendation and reviews people had already done on all 3 naked palettes. So I hope this helps if you are trying to make a decision one which one to get, because I would highly recommend it.

This is the box it comes in.

The first six colours in the set are lighter colours. They would probably be worn more in the daytime or as everyday colours. all very stunning colours.

The last six colours are a lot darker than the first six, I think they would be more for evening or event type make-up looks. Especially as there are more shimmery and sparkly, but again all gorgeous colours.

From right to left,
Foxy, Half Baked, Booty Call, Chopper, Teaser, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout.
Snakebite being my favourite, its defiantly my everyday, all over colour.

Over all I personally think that this pallet in particular has a good mix of shimmery and matte colours, perfect for any look your trying to achieve. The packaging is perfect, and for me that's always a good thing. Good packaging is generally a good sign that the product inside is gunna be good as well.
Finally the box my parents purchased from Debenhams came with four little samples of eyelid primers from Urban Decay, and a double sided eye-shadow brush.
So all in all, this product is well worth the money. Now £37 is quite a lot of money, I have to admit, but I wouldn’t be saying this unless I truly meant it,

However if you think about you are defiantly getting your money’s worth with 12 amazingly pigmented different colours.

Hope this is helpful.

Make-Up Starter Kit.

Hi Guys, it’s Autumn.
This post is inspired by Louise 'sprinkle of glitters', -your make-up starter kit- video. As I thought it would be a great thing to write about especially as it’s so close to Christmas it might give a few of you some ideas for Christmas presents for any ‘make-up newbies’.

These products are all available in the Drugstores on the high-street, i.e. Boots and Superdug.
They are relatively cheap and are prefect for everyday usage. I didn't pick anything to fancy or high end, as when you are just starting out with Make-up you tend to experiment until you find products or techniques that are suited to you personally.
Make-up is supposed to be fun and something to enjoy so please don’t take it to seriously!!

The first few products I would recommend to a make-up newbie are a simple foundation, concealer and powder. These three items are the biases to every make-up look. They aren’t too heavy duty on the face, but they cover enough to make a difference.

The foundation is a light coverage and is easily buildable, and covers just about most blemishes you may have.
The concealer is defiantly one of the best concealer I have ever tried!  Would recommend it to anyone, whether they are just starting out in the world of make-up or an advanced beauty professional. It covers perfectly, and is the perfect colour match for most skin tones.
And lastly the powder, this powder has the perfect light coverage. A small amount does just enough to set everything in place without making you look ‘fluffy’.
Collection, lasting perfection concealer, in fair 1
Rimmel, match perfection foundation, in light porcelain 010

Rimmel, stay matte powder, in pink blossom 002

The second section to my make-up starter kit is the eyes. In my opinion the eyes are the most important part to every look, so what you choose to apply to your eyes has a big impact. The eyes are the best part to experiment with, all the colours, textures, styles. It can completely transform any outfit, which is why you must pick carefully, when deciding
The mascara I’ve picked to go into this the make-up starter kit is amazing for lengthening. It doesn’t clump and doesn’t make your eyes to dark; I just give a subtle definition to your lashes.
Like I’ve said experimenting with the eyes is the best part, this is mainly down to the eye-shadow. The palette I have chosen is a well-used pallet of mine, it is actually one of my first pallets I owned, and is a dupe for the naked pallet from ‘urban decay’ it contains 12 gorgeous nude’ish colours perfect for any occasion.
Now, on to eye-liner, I was originally going to put in a liquid eye liner into this starter kit, but I then realised how hard it is to actually apply liquid liner. So I went for a simple black pencil liner, this one in particular is good for straight black lines as well as smudging to give a bit of a messy/Smokey look. This is both easy to use and just as effective.
Rimmel, wonder'full with argon oil mascara

MUA, undressed eyeshadow palette.

Rimmel, exaggerate eyeliner, in startlit black 263

Finally, on to the lips. Some of the colours you can now buy are unbelievable. However if you are just starting out with make-up I would suggest sticking to simple colours, like pinks, nudes and light reds. Nothing to extravagant or over the top. And I guess the same goes for the lip-glosses as well. I’m not going to go into too much detail about each item as they a pretty self-explanatory, as far as lipsticks and lip glosses go.

Clothes Show Live and Haul!

Hi guys, its Autumn.

this weeks post is going to be a haul of what I brought at the clothes show event this weekend, as well as a few pictures I took of the cat walk. most of what I brought was £10 or under.
hope you enjoy.

First of all I brought this hair removal product from 'Melody-Claire', elegant depilation.
it includes:
1 large backing pad,
1 small backing pad,
4 large micro-crystal replacement pads
4 small micro-crystal replacement pads.
It woks by lightly scrubbing in a curricular motion on the area you want to remove the hair. It generally works! Its amazing it only takes a few seconds, it does the same thing as waxing just less painful.
Would really recommend this product.
£10

This next product is a blush and contour pallet kit, from 'bhconsmetics'
so far I've only used the dark blush colour and it is a gorgeous colour especially for the autumn/winter months. The pigmentation is amazing.
It includes 2 highlighters, 2 blushes and 2 contour shades.
however it doesn't say on the packaging what each said is called, which is the only down side.
£7

This little collection is the Rimmel 'Kate' collection.
It includes 7 items:
Exaggerate full colour lip liner, in 'ultimate 046'
Exaggerate waterproof eye definer in 'starlit black 263'
Kate moss mascara in 'eye rock jet black 004'
Mini BB cream, matte, in light
Stay blushed, liquid cheek tint in 'sunkissed 004'
Glitter bomb nail varnish in 'disco fever 018'
Kate moss lipstick, lasting finish in 01
So well worth your money in my opinion, I also think they would be quite good for Christmas presents for people who are into make-up and beauty bits.
So exited to try all of these out.
£10

I was very exited when i saw there was a Kardashian beauty stall, so I couldn't not buy something.
the mascara I brought is called 'the quickie' it is bloody amazing! it lengthens and volumises and only requires 2/3 coats.
the eye-liner is called 'high eye-Q' and again it gets perfect smooth straight lines.
perfection.
£10 for 2

I needed the Cosmo magazine anyway, it just made it a better buy with all the added freebies.
it included the collection lengthening mascara in 'ultra black 17'
samples for Tresemme shampoo and conditioner the new renewal hair and scalp.
Avena, brightening mosterizing lotion sample.
Yardley energising peony, hydrating and enriching body lotion sample.
As well as a lint milk chocolate ball and some raisin and chocolate shots (which I ate there and then)
complete bargain
£2

Now i've heard quite a bit about the company 'W7' but never really felt the need to purchase anything from them, But looking around there stall I was quite impressed with what they had, so I treated myself to a few bits.
The naked nudes quad eye-shadow pallet.
The camouflage kit (concealer kit)
The prime magic, face primer, camera ready.
The show stopper mascara in 'blackest black'
and finally the boom! big bold eyes, crayon eye-liner.
These would be great little stocking fillers and a great dupes for high end products.
5 for £10

These letters would make great presents for friends, family members, secret Santa etc...
I purchased these for my mum and my sisters as I though they would look gorgeous hanging up on the walls or on the dressing tables. They had lodes of different letters (some were more popular than others) they also had sayings or words in the same style, which I think is such a cute present as it is personal to them.
£2 each

Now as its a clothes show, i though it was only fitting that I brought some clothes. however they style of clothes that most of the stalls were selling was either Christmas jumpers/items or tops and dresses that wouldn't fit my figure (lets just say) there were hundreds of crop tops and bodycon dresses, which just arnt my thing. so when I saw this hagwarts, oversized jumper I just had to get it, it was calling my name!
the stall had lodes of jumpers in this style but there were different coloured ones and ones with different pictures and patterns on.
£10

So here are a few photos of the day. It was the first time I'd ever been and I didn't really know what to expect, I mean I had watched a few you tube videos of  hauls and I'd spoken to a few people that went last year, but I would never of imagined how big and how amazing it was it was unbelievably mind blowing.
However I am a bit disappoint that I didn't get a photo with Joey Essex or Alfie Deyes. Also me and Jordie queued up for over half an hour to see Lauren Goodger, and she didn't turn up at all, which was really disappointing and annoying. But on the plus side we saw Charlotte from 'Gordie shore' and Proudlock from 'made in Chelsea'.
It was an unforgettable day, and I cant wait to go again hopefully in a few years time. And now that we know how it works and what to expect, may be well get to meet a few celebrities. (Even mum wants to come with me next time)
I would completely recommend to anyone going, young or old, male or female.

Introduction

Hi guys, its Autumn here!

So I've decided to start a blog.
A beauty and makeup blog to be specific.

I have been anticipating this for a while now I just never really felt that the time was right, But for some unknown reason it does now.
People have suggested that I start a blog to put all my makeup to good use, and I never really considered it, until I got into reading blogs and watching youtube videos myself. I'd never have the confidence to start a YouTube channel, but starting a blog defiantly seams do-able. (Baby steps guys).

As I am now a A-level student I feel as if this blog will help me in two ways the first being unleashing some stress as well as take my mind of deadline's. And the second being it will help improve my English writing skills. I'm not saying I'm absolutely awful at writing, but if I make a any mistakes, feel free to correct me!

I have a deep (unhealthy) love for makeup and beauty. It has got to the point where it is taking over my room, emptying my bank account and turning everything orange. So I am very exited to start this blog; finally.
It'll including monthly favourites, hauls, different looks and much more. Feel free to leave comments of suggestions, advise, well anything really as long as its nice.
I'll attempt to post every week, but as school is the main priority I can't make any promises.

I'm not really to sure what I'm supposed to put in here, I think I've covered most things

Thanks guys
Autumn xoxo
